Inside Japan's MAGARIGAWA CLUB, the Ultimate Private Racetrack Experience

The MAGARIGAWA CLUB is an ultra-exclusive, luxury driving club located in the Chiba Prefecture of Japan, around an hour away from Tokyo. This members-only club is the first of its kind in Asia, designed by the renowned Tilke Engineers and Architects, known for their work on Formula 1 and MotoGP circuits. The club boasts a private track carved into the mountains, offering breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji and Tokyo Bay (Magarigawa) (The Drive) (Supercar Blondie).

Opened with a grand celebration in July 2023, the MAGARIGAWA CLUB features a 2.17-mile circuit with 22 challenging corners, an 800-meter straight, and a significant elevation change. The opening event was a car enthusiast's dream, featuring car displays, hillclimbs, and drifting displays with around 500 cars, including super-rare classics and the latest hypercars from Aston Martin, Lamborghini, and Bugatti (The Drive) (Magneto).

Membership offers access to this private 3.5km track with 22 corners, a maximum ascent of 20 percent, and an 800m long straight, alongside luxury amenities such as a climate-controlled indoor pit lane, infinity pool, gym, and even a karaoke room. The club is also designed to be family-friendly, with playgrounds, a dog park, and nature trails, making it a sanctuary for families to enjoy a blend of speed and comfort (The Drive) (Supercar Blondie) (GTPlanet).

Construction of the track, a project taking three years, was a feat of engineering, overcoming the challenges of the mountainous region known for landslides. Membership to the track includes access to dedicated instructors for one-to-one tuition, with an initial cost of ¥36,000,000 ($240,000) plus an annual fee of ¥220,000 ($1,500) (GTPlanet).

For those seeking a truly exclusive experience, the club offers higher-tier memberships with "paddocks" that include overnight lodgings and parking spaces for the owner's vehicles. These areas come with climate-controlled environments and maintenance checks by on-site mechanics, with some of the first owners bidding up to ¥800m ($5.4m) for these premium spaces. The clubhouse features a range of luxurious amenities, including a 25m infinity pool, a natural hot spring, bar, gym, karaoke room, and a family lounge, with the dining area offering views of Tokyo Bay and Mount Fuji (GTPlanet).

The MAGARIGAWA CLUB not only represents a pinnacle of luxury automotive leisure but also offers a unique blend of high-speed excitement and family-friendly amenities, setting a new standard for private racetracks globally.
